Residents strongly oppose the development application to remove and subdivide 19 Greengrove Place Kuraby. The application proposes to reconfigure the 2333m2 allotment into 5 allotments. It is proposed that there will be 2 standard lots of 622m2 and 503m2 fronting Greengrove Place, and 3 small lots of 403m2 fronting Jack Place. The property is in a low density residential area. The surrounding properties are all of standard size. All 5 proposed lots are smaller than surrounding ones. The 3 small lots proposed in this development are more than 200m2 smaller than neighbouring properties. These small lots are completely inconsistent with the character of this estate. This proposed development risks the safety and wellbeing of over 15 children and the unique community spirit of the residents in Jack Place. We do not want to see Kuraby carved up into small lot development throughout.
This application should not be allowed to proceed and your petitioners call on the Council to deny the application.
