Residents draw attention to the unsafe nature of the newly upgraded intersection of Vulture and Dock Streets for cyclists. Bike lanes lead up to and away from the intersection, but there is no secure zone for cyclists to occupy during traffic light changes or to cross the intersection on the road. In addition, the footpath facilities are poor for cyclists and there is little refuge room on the footpath. The ramp to the cycle way to South Bank also does not coincide with the ramp from the road.
Your petitioners therefore urgently request that the situation is corrected as soon as possible.
