Residents draw to the attention of Councillor Shayne Sutton and any other relevant local members, the proposed development of the vacant land at 14 Lytton Road, Bulimba QLD 4171. The proposed development will include 64 one, two and three bedroom units together with retail shops. With only three main roads into the Bulimba district, traffic is already congested to the point of stagnation at peak times at the Bulimba roundabout. The proposed development would require access either directly from, or within 100 metres of the roundabout. Our concerns are that: a) The infrastructure currently in place will not support the creation of 64 new units with no available off street parking, and the proximity of the development to an existing traffic bottle neck. b) The character of the area is being degraded with the increasing development of medium to high density living structures.
Your petitioners therefore request that you either: a) reduce the quantity of units being built or; b) stop this development from proceeding or; c) provide your constituents with a clear understanding of how the above issues will be addressed.
